Flash Cards

FlashPoint
A high-powered flashcard program, allowing sequential, random, or targeted quizzes. Q-> A or A->Q order. Full formatting allowed, including bullet points, underlining, italics, etc. Tracks time for quiz and time for last quiz, and records date reviewed. REQUIRES MICROSOFT EXCEL. Thanks to Patrick Gaston.
Image Quiz
Image flashcard program. Allows several lines of text for each image. Quizzes are simple to make. Users can zoom and move images on the fly. Random and sequential quizzes possible. Thanks to Patrick Gaston.
FlashTable (Pharm)
Designed for learning tables of information. For example, you might want to study several points about a list of drugs (mechanism, uses, side effects, etc.). FlashTable allows you to review any or all of these points. Also allows reverse quiz, giving the points until you provide the drug name. This version is fully functional and contains 50 drugs. Thanks to Patrick Gaston.

Relational Learning

Leaf
Reads in text outlines, transforming them into graphical “mind maps” of the information. A great way to study or to prepare for giving presentations. Incredibly simple to use. In addition to the center-out mind map format, also makes vertical and horizontal flowcharts/decision trees. Thanks to Patrick Gaston.

Timers

PG Cooker
A test and study timer for your desktop. Includes count-up and count-down timers, clock, and alarm. As accurate as your computer’s internal timer. As the author states I use it to keep my arse in the chair studying for an hour at a time. Thanks to Patrick Gaston.
