Would Dental Research be of any use as "gap-year research" before applying to medical school?

hey guys, may i ask if it would be okay to perform research in bone developmental biology and teeth development (which is dental) before applying to medical school?
Would it be considered research worth taking? Thanks!

Yes. People do all sorts of unrelated research to enhance their application. Dental research is actually quite related and would be very good for your app.
